Optimedia and Zenithmedia were both active players in the Belgian market since respectively 1992 and 1993. In 2000, after Publicis had taken over the Saatchi and Saatchi Group, Zenithoptimedia emerged as an international media network with its head office in London.
In Belgium, the merger between the two separate entities Optimedia (Publicis Group) and Zenithmedia (Saatchi & Saatchi Group) happened in three stages.
In 2001 the respective audio visual departments were integrated, in 2002 the same happened with the research departments and in 2003 both agencies moved office to a common space in the Flagey buiding.
In the beginning of 2004 the local merger was legally finalised and ZenithOptimedia positioned itself as an R.O.I. agency in Belgium as well.
In November 2007 ZenithOptimedia moved to ‘les Ecuries de la chasse Royale’ in Oudergem/Auderghem (Brussels).
